No! Here at Lazy Bear we pride ourselves on taking anyone and everyone into Montanas fast Beauty to catch wild trout! So if it's your first time be ready to learn a lot and enjoy and relaxing day on the water. If your a seasoned angler on the hunt for the big one, just give us a call!
Do I need my own gear?
At Lazy Bear we provide all gear necessary to have a safe and enjoyable day on the water. From the rod and reel, to flies and lunch you are worry free when you book with the best!
Can I self book online?
You can! Just hit one of the book now tabs and it will take you to our booking site "Brindlechute" to complete your order!
What areas do you offer guided trips?
We are a statewide operation! With a number of quality guides across the state we have you covered!
How many people are included in the cost?
With the purchase of any full or half day float that accommodates up to 2 anglers in the boat per day. Cheaper rates for solo anglers may be available give us a call!

"Best weekend of my life!!! GP who’s the head guide coached me up well had easy to follow directions and kept me on and really showed me how to fish! The guy had me on fish almost every cast, and he’s so strategic he would stop and go “hold up let’s try this” and I kid you not next cast would be a fatty almost every single time! They really know their stuff over here at Lazy Bear and they are a 10/10, home run 450 dead center every time. Genuinely THE most fun and exhilarating two days of fishing I have EVER experienced. I really don’t put that lightly and can’t stress it enough these guys are really stinking GOOD!!!"

All I can say is WOW! What a great day on the water! GP and Lady May were superb guides and gave me a day filled with large fish, blue skies, golden eagles and the awesome beauty of the Bitterroot River. GP knows that water better than I know myself :). He is also a patient guide with a great sense of humor. Lots of laughs all day. I fell in love with his pointer, Lady May, who made the trip all the more fun. Our God knows how to make beauty and this river showed off his creative side indeed. Thanks GP! Of course, I'll be back!!!
