Kai Lin

Born and raised in the vibrant urban landscape of Singapore, I traded city skylines for the rugged horizons of Montana to pursue a lifelong obsession with the art of the fly. Driven by a passion for pristine waters and the technical challenge of the sport, I made the leap across the globe to turn my dedication into a career.

Today, I spend my days navigating Montana’s world-class rivers, sharing the nuances of the drift with anglers of all levels. Whether you are looking to hunt rising trout or simply soak in the Big Sky scenery, I bring a unique international perspective and a deep-rooted respect for the waters I now call home.

Dave Buck

Originally from Bend, Oregon, Dave Buck has called Montana home for nearly eight years, spending the majority of his time exploring and fishing the Bitterroot River and its East and West Forks. Over the years, he’s also guided on several of Montana’s most respected fisheries, including the Blackfoot, Beaverhead, Madison, and Big Hole rivers.

Dave splits his time between guiding and fishing for himself, typically guiding 40–60 days a year while spending another 150+ days on the water honing his craft. This balance keeps him sharp, dialed into current conditions, and deeply connected to the fisheries he loves. Whether he’s rowing his NRS raft or running his Adipose drift boat, Dave brings a thoughtful, fish-focused approach to every trip.

What Dave enjoys most about guiding is helping anglers succeed—especially those moments when everything comes together: the perfect cast, the right drift, and a trout rising to eat. He thrives on seeing clients connect with the process and experience that excitement.

Drew Cooper

Drew grew up in North Idaho, where he developed a passion for fishing alongside his parents. He later spent 12 summers commercial salmon fishing in Bristol Bay, Alaska, gaining extensive time on the water and a deep respect for the outdoors.

Now based in Montana’s Bitterroot Valley, Drew spends his days guiding and exploring the local rivers and fishing whenever he can. He has a great passion for the incredible trout fishing the state has to offer. He loves helping people create memorable days on the river while enjoying the scenery, wildlife, and experience that make Montana fly fishing special.

"A Master in the art of living draws no sharp distinction between his work and his play; his labor and his leisure...To himself, he always appears to be doing both."
